This page explains what personal data silkcollector.com collects, why, and what your rights are. It is also our information notice under Turkish data protection law (KVKK). In short: the site has no advertising and no tracking cookies; we only count visits and link clicks anonymously. We only keep what you send us through the contact form or the newsletter signup.

Contact form
When you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the topic you chose, your message, any files you attach and the language of the page you used.
- Why: to read and answer your message, for example a Steam key request or a question.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us (KVKK Art. 5(2)(f); GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How: the message is delivered to our inbox by email through Brevo, and a backup copy is stored on our web server so that no message is lost.
- How long: the backup copy on the server is deleted automatically after 2 years. Our email correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to handle your request.
Newsletter
If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address, the language of the page you subscribed from and the time of subscription.
- Why: to send you news about Silk Collector, such as the demo and the Steam release.
- Legal basis: your explicit consent, given by ticking the box on the form (KVKK Art. 5(1); GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
- How: your address is kept in our mailing list at Brevo, which also sends the emails.
- How long: until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us. A short record of when you subscribed or unsubscribed is kept on our server for 2 years as proof of consent.
Visiting the site
- Server logs: like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser, the page you opened and the time. These logs are used for security and are kept by the provider for a limited time.
- Spam protection: when you send a form, we keep a one-way code made from your IP address for one day to limit the number of messages. Your IP address itself is not stored.
- No cookies: the site sets no cookies. If you choose a language from the menu, that choice is saved only in your own browser (local storage,
sc-lang) so the site opens in your language next time. You can delete it in your browser settings at any time. - Anonymous statistics: to see which of our links bring visitors, we count visits, clicks on our short links (silkcollector.com/go/…) and clicks on the Steam button, together with the source tag in the link (for example utm_source=instagram), the site you came from, the page language and whether you use a mobile or desktop device. Instead of your IP address we keep a one-day code that cannot be turned back into it. No cookies are used; the source is remembered only in the open browser tab. These records are deleted after 2 years. No third-party analytics, advertising or social media tracking tools are used, and fonts are served from our own server.
- Trailer: the trailer box shows a cover image from our own server. The YouTube player (youtube-nocookie.com, run by Google) loads only when you press play; from then on YouTube's privacy policy applies.
- News page: the News page shows our Steam announcements. Their images are loaded from Steam's servers, so Valve receives your IP address when you open that page.
Service providers and transfers abroad
We share personal data only with the services we need to run the site:
- Hosting.com.tr (Türkiye): hosts the website and the form backups.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France, EU): delivers contact form messages and newsletter emails, and keeps the newsletter list.
- Google (Google Workspace): our email inbox, where contact form messages arrive.
Brevo and Google are located outside Türkiye, so using them means transferring data abroad. These transfers are made only for the purposes above. Data may also be shared with public authorities when the law requires it. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
Your rights
Under KVKK Article 11 and the GDPR, you can ask whether we process your data and get a copy of it, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, learn who we share it with, and ask for compensation if you are harmed by unlawful processing. You can withdraw your newsletter consent at any time; this does not affect processing that happened before.
To use these rights, email muhammet@silkcollector.com or write to the address above. We answer free of charge within 30 days at the latest. You can also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
Children
The forms on this site are not meant for children under 16. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before writing to us or subscribing.
Changes
If we change how the site handles personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
